ABOUT ME AND MY SERVICES
JERRI LYNN FRANTIK
BISW., MISW., RSW
I am a registered social worker with a Master of Indigenous Social Work from the First Nations University of Canada.
I provide one-on-one counselling to adults and youth struggling with trauma including addiction, domestic violence, childhood neglect, relationship conflicts, anger management, anxiety, depression, grief, stress and difficulty coping, sexual assault, sexual abuse and thoughts of suicide.
I specialize in services to Indigenous communities. I was fortunate to have worked a few years for Peter Ballantyne Cree Nation, within the communities of Southend, Pelican Narrows, Sandy Bay and Deschambault Lake. I am always grateful for the the individuals I met and the knowledge I have gained while working within these communities.
In my counselling I am sensitive to the impacts that colonialism and residential schools has had on Indigenous people and my approach is informed by this history.
